The organisational theory provides information on the organisation of work processes and operating practices through organisational structures, power, culture, compensation, and benefits and behaviour on people, among other things.
Project managers must understand that various organisational structures influence or impact the individual response time and performance differently.
What are project interfaces…
Project interfaces are the various reporting relationships that occur within a project and on the boundaries of the project.
Sone of these include:
Reporting relationship among different organisational units. They may be internal or external to the present organisation and include interfaces among the project team, upper management that may need to support the team, and even the Organisation’s customers.
Reporting relationships among technical disciplines on the project that can occur during a phase or during the transition between phases.
They reflect informal and formal relationships with people on the project team and outside the team.
Formal and informal reporting relationships among individuals working on the project, whether internally or externally.
